ORGANIC COMFORT
An idea was born.
As a new Mom and a person that grew up with reactions to synthetic fabrics (I was the kid with the hives), I wanted comfort for my baby. I struggled putting bibs on him, they ended up in the way. Sometimes in his face, sometimes interfering with simple things like crawling and all these things ended up with a crying baby and a stressed Mom. One day, my Mother-in-law sent a bib to me that tied around the neck and around the waist. I loved it. The only thing was tying something around the neck made me a bit nervous. But, it was a solution.
Time passed and my baby grew up. I began working as an Illustrator/designer and then entered the world of pastry. An apron became party of my wardrobe and now I was the one annoyed. I had something around my neck and it was synthetic. I was back to scratching and hives. I started sewing my own aprons in the style of a pinafore. This experience reminded me of how frustrated I was with my son’s bibs.
So, I designed a bib in the same design, as the aprons that I was making for myself. Comfortable and non interfering.
